We stayed one week in late September / early October 2016. There are about 50 sites, and only perhaps 5 were occupied. We could not see our neighbors in either direction.
Clean and plenty of first come first served spots!
The county road runs right by the campsites, so don't be surprised that you are not isolated from traffic.
We went for the dark skies. Great star gazing with very little influence from nearby towns or Redding to the East. We spoke to the camphost, "Lana". She was very nice. If you want a quiet get-away, this is a good place for that.
We were very disappointed when we arrived to find out this is a "dry camping site" which is not listed on any site. Also , the price is $16 per night not $13. The positives were the host was very friendly and welcoming and there were plenty of sites to chose from.
The layout follows the edge of Lewiston Lake. The sites are large. Easy access to the shoreline for fishing.
